Red Bull’s “Art Of Flight” (Trailer). Saw this film screened last week. WOW. One of the best films I’ve seen (about Snowboarding, or not). The visuals are top-notch.
Drake - Headlines (Video) - Yes, this will be on every other blog as well. Sue me. I dig this song.

This is one of my favorite 90s Hip-Hop mixes of all times, and DJ Pump is one of my favorite DJs. He’s somewhat of a national treasure in Canada. Hedspin and Jr-Flo of his crew The Eh Team are my folks. They run Canada.

Recommended Listening / DJ Mix
I don’t need to really go into detail on this other than saying Canadian DJs just know the time, like furreal furreal. The title says it all, classic Hip Hop from 90-94 put together so nicely.
From DJ Pump,
This is a double mix CD that i made in 2003…
Not only have I been to Vancouver more than any other city, but they’ve shown me more love than any other place I’ve been. I have some good friends there, and part of my family lives out there, as well. It’s actually one of the places I could most see myself living. If I can ever get out of NYC, that is.
This short film, directed by Gustav Johansson, is a good little representation of Vancouver, and what you may find there. The video was put together by “Education First”, who’s mission is to “break down barriers in language, culture and geography”. A good mission statement, indeed!
EF stands for “Education First.” With a mission to break down barriers in language, culture and geography, EF has helped more than 15 million people of all ages and nationalities become citizens of the world. Cultural exchanges, educational travel, language training and degree programs — we put education first.
Via Live The Language - Several other cities are featured there, as well.

The Weeknd - Thursday (Free Mixtape Download)
When you think of free mix tapes, you usually don’t think of a band with a singer, and some vibed-out and chilly-most music. Well, Canada’s The Weeknd have changed that. I’ve been diggin’ Little Dragon, SBTRKT, Steven A Clark, and all sorts of other super-produced, songwriter fare lately, and it just keeps coming. This one is a free download, and you can get it here.
